Tesla Model S Diagnostic Report

For the vehicle in question, the owner of a Tesla Model S presented with multiple faults including refusal to charge and inability to start the vehicle’s drive mode. Our first step was a full fault-code scan which revealed codes such as F017, F098, F097, W064 and W090 related to the BMB system. Live data analysis found that within the high-voltage battery pack, Module 9 had a cell reading of ~1.773 V. Isolation and pack tests confirmed the fault was within the BMB modules rather than external wiring.

Tesla Model S Repairs

With the fault located in the BMB modules, the repair involved: dismantling the high-voltage battery pack, replacing five faulty BMB boards, resealing the pack, performing all required system resets and post-repair validations.

Resolution

Following repair and validation, the Tesla Model S BMB repair was successful. The fault codes were cleared, the battery pack’s cell readings returned to expected values, the vehicle accepted charge normally, and the driver regained full usable EV function.
