Tesla Model 3 Diagnostic Report

A customer brought in their Tesla with a Tesla HV battery fault, where the vehicle could not enter “Ready” mode and was effectively immobilised. Our diagnostic process began with fault code scanning (which did not initially reveal anything), then progressed to live data investigation of the high-voltage battery pack. We discovered that one cell in the battery (brick 5 in module 1) was reading 1.4 V, indicating a clear internal battery fault.

Tesla Model 3 Repairs

Our repair process involved isolating the high-voltage system, removing the battery pack from the vehicle, disassembling to the cell level and identifying the shorted cell in the pack (brick 5/module 1). The defective cell was removed, the remaining battery brick was recharged and balanced, the pack reassembled and resealed, and the vehicle’s cooling system refitted and checked. The battery was reinstalled and the system reset to ensure correct operation.

Resolution

After the service, the Tesla HV battery fault issue was fully resolved. The vehicle regained normal high-voltage battery function, was able to enter “Ready” mode, all systems verified, and the vehicle returned to the customer in full working order.
