BMW i3 Diagnostic Report
Initial diagnostics confirmed a persistent drivetrain error. A HVIL error was confirmed, however voltage values were within specification. However, temperature readings were out of specification, indicating an internal HV battery temperature sensing issue which required further attention.
BMW i3 Repairs
ISTA diagnostics confirmed the fault remained present with permanent fault codes stored in the SME. The HV battery was removed for internal inspection. Comparative checks on module thermistors indicated a discrepancy on one of the modules. CSC emulation did not remove the fault, so the repair plan progressed to replacing the faulty parts and renewing the CSCs as a complete set.
