Common Symptoms
Reduced Electric Range & Performance Degradation
Lower EV range than normal, weaker hybrid performance, or EV mode dropping out early. This often indicates cell/module degradation or pack imbalance.
Drivetrain / Battery Warning Indicators
Warnings such as “Drivetrain”, “Electric drive restricted” or “Hybrid system fault”. These typically mean the vehicle has detected an HV battery/system issue and may limit performance to protect components.
Charging Problems (Slow, Inconsistent or Stopping Early)
Charging takes longer, stops before full, or the battery won’t hold charge as expected. This can be linked to battery health, temperature management, or BMS-imposed limits.
Battery Not Charging
HV charging faults that can also trigger repeated 12V warnings or non-start symptoms. Often points to underlying HV battery or control system faults requiring diagnosis.

I took my Range Rover Sport Hybrid to LKQ Electriq this summer as I was having problems with my battery source rendering the car inactive. I went to collect my car and met a number of the team whilst there. I was really impressed by the way they dealt with me as well as the obvious talent and professionalism of the team. The job was completed on time and in line with the original cost quoted (a fraction of what the dealership quoted) and my car has not missed a beat since so cannot praise this business enough but hopefully won't be back!
