Thermal Management Repairs
Specialist diagnostics and repair-first solutions for EV and hybrid heating and cooling systems.
If your vehicle has no cabin heat, poor demisting, overheating warnings, reduced performance, or charging/“Ready” issues linked to temperature control, we can help identify the root cause and restore safe, correct operation.
Why thermal management matters (and why faults can cause bigger problems)
Thermal management controls battery, motor, inverter and cabin temperatures. On EVs and hybrids, heating and cooling faults can affect far more than comfort, they can trigger warning lights, disable pre-conditioning, reduce charging speed, and even limit vehicle performance.
We take an evidence-led approach:
- Structured diagnostics (not guesswork)
- Repair-first recommendations where appropriate
- Post-repair validation to confirm stable temperatures and correct system operation

Common Symptoms
No cabin heat / poor demist / no pre-conditioning
HV heater or heat pump faults can leave you with no heat, slow warm-up, and poor demisting/defrost performance. This is a common presentation on EVs in colder weather.
Overheating warnings / reduced performance (limp mode)
If the battery, motor, or power electronics can’t be cooled correctly, the vehicle may limit power to protect components.
Charging issues linked to temperature control
Some vehicles will reduce charging speed or inhibit charging if temperatures are out of range or coolant/thermal circuits aren’t operating correctly.
Coolant loss, leaks, or repeated warning messages
Our Thermal Management Repair Services

High-Voltage / PTC / Coolant Heaters
High-voltage heaters (often coolant/PTC heaters) generate cabin heat and support functions like demisting and pre-conditioning. When they fail, you may see “HV heater fault” messages, loss of cabin heat, and wider HV system warnings. We diagnose the heater and the supporting coolant/heating circuit, then repair or replace the heater module and verify correct operation.

Heat pump and HVAC system diagnosis
Many EVs use heat pumps to improve efficiency. Faults can cause weak or intermittent heating, unusual noises, or poor temperature regulation. We diagnose the system and advise the correct repair route (vehicle/platform dependent).

Battery cooling and thermal circuits (pumps, valves, radiators, chillers)
Battery and drivetrain cooling circuits can include electric pumps, multi-way valves, radiators, chillers and sensors. Failures can cause overheating warnings, reduced performance, and charging limitations. We identify the failing component or circuit and confirm operation after repair.

Coolant-related faults (leaks, airlocks, pressure issues, flow faults)
Cooling systems are sensitive to correct fill and bleeding. We check for leaks, flow issues, airlocks, and control problems, then validate stable temperatures and fault-free operation post-repair.
All work is backed by a 12-month warranty covering both parts and labour, giving you peace of mind and confidence in the quality of our service.
Very helpful at solving a major fault. Though a big job, itc cost half of what it would have done at main dealer who would have replaced more than needed. Customer service very good.
