Initially, we confirmed the red charge port light concern and verified the fault was present. Subsequently, a diagnostic scan was carried out and fault code(s) and live data were reviewed. Further electrical testing was required to pinpoint the root cause, so input and control signals at the charge port were checked using an oscilloscope. We identified an issue within the plug detection circuit and confirmed the fault originated internally within the charge socket.

The charge port cable set and charge port assembly were replaced. The vehicle was then reassembled and the high-voltage battery charging operation was verified.
