Kia EV6 Diagnostic Report
This Kia EV6 presented with persistent high-voltage system warnings and immediate shutdown after start-up. Diagnostic checks revealed fault code P0B3B:00 relating to the HV battery voltage sensor circuit, along with incorrect or missing live data from the battery management system. After verifying all external electrical supplies, we removed the high-voltage battery for further inspection. During targeted internal testing, the root cause was identified as a faulty communications circuit within the Battery Management Unit (BMU/BMS). Consequently, this internal failure prevented accurate data reporting and triggered the system shutdown.
Kia EV6 Repairs
In line with manufacturer safety protocols, the high-voltage battery assembly was removed for detailed internal inspection and component testing. Once the faulty Battery Management Unit was identified, it was replaced with an OE-specification component. As a result, the Kia EV6 HV system was restored to full operational status and all fault codes were successfully cleared

- Battery Management Unit replacement – OE-specification BMU installed to restore communication and data reporting
- Full system verification – Post-repair safety procedures, live data testing, and fault code clearance completed
Resolution
Based on these findings, the internal battery management control unit on the Kia EV6 was replaced, and all required post-repair and safety procedures were carried out in line with manufacturer protocols. A check of the HV battery system confirmed that we now have access to all of the live data parameters and the vehicle is fully operational. Following completion of the repair, the vehicle was returned to full operational status.
- All live data parameters were restored and displayed correctly. As a result, the high voltage system warning no longer appeared
- In addition, the HV system operated normally without any unexpected shutdowns
- Full access to battery management system data was confirmed, and the vehicle was thoroughly tested before being cleared for customer collection
