EV Battery Discharging and Storage Charging
Safe Battery Discharging
When a battery cell is faulty it can often still contain a lot of energy inside which if disposed of incorrectly can carry a risk of catching fire. Therefore, the battery cells must be discharged correctly to ensure they are empty. It is quite likely that the IR (internal resistance) of the battery will be high and may cause excess heat when discharging. However, we have a software to closely monitor and safely discharge battery cells so they can then be disposed of correctly to minimise risk of fire.
EV Battery Storage Charging
EV battery storage charging should be used if you are intending on storing your batteries for a long length of time. Lipo batteries should be storage charged at 3.8 volts as this helps prolong the life of the battery whilst its stored dormant. However, if the cell/module is above or below the storage voltage, we have the correct tooling to evenly bring it to the required voltage evenly across all cells. As a result, the battery can then be stored for as long as you desire whilst minimising the degradation.
